What is a superhuman you ask?
Whatever you want it to be! For me being able to live from my highest self (majority of the time) in a state of peace and happiness and create my own reality with my thoughts (aka manifest cool shit) is what makes me a badass superhuman.
And of course the trick to becoming this way was reading. Reading a ton of self improvement books. Some were more helpful than others. So today I share with you my favorites (in no particular order).
If you read these self improvement books it is my promise to you that you too will become a superhuman. Someone who is totally unfuckwithable and in control of their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Someone who can turn their thoughts into things. Someone who is aligned with their truest self.

Foundation For Inner Peace
This book is exactly what it says it is, a course in miracles. By definition of the course a miracle is simple shift in perception from fear to love. It's the ultimate self improvement book because it brings you back to your natural state of wellbeing and inner peace.
Reading this book helped me accept love as the one and only truth and dismiss all else as an illusion. This is the book that many of the books below draw teachings from. It is a spiritual self improvement staple for anybody looking to bring more love and inner peace into their life.
Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality
Unlike many self improvement books out there, this is one of true self discovery. Rather than Pam Gout telling you how powerful you are she has you prove it to yourself with 9 energy experiments. The experiments are simple, fun, and exciting. Not to mention she is hilarious (which doesn't hurt).
This book really opened my eyes to the power of my thoughts and got me hooked on manifesting. If you want to know the true control you have over your life, this self improvement book is for you. It's also great for anybody who has ever felt skeptical towards the law of attraction.

A 40-Day Guidebook of Subtle Shifts for Radical Change and Unlimited Happiness
This 40-day workbook from Gabrielle Bernstein is great for a complete self improvement makeover. Over six weeks she takes you though topics like miracle mindedness, self perception, body image, relationships, self worth, and working miracles.
It's also full of great affirmations and prayers to keep in your spiritual toolbox. This is one of the books that helped me reach my fuller potential after I recovered from three years of depression. It's a fabulous 40 day cleanse for the mind and soul.
Learning to Manifest Your Desires
If you like the idea of being the deliberate creator of your own life experience you will love this book. I consider it to be somewhat of a manifesting manual. I love how Abraham Hicks explains everything is terms of energy and vibration, taking the magic out of manifesting.
Weather you're new to manifesting or you've been practicing for awhile, this self improvement book will help you take you to the next level.
Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"
Directly inspired by A Course In Miracles, A Return to Love is a beautiful book that summarizes and explains the main principles from the course. Marianne Williamson does a beautiful job of highlighting the key lessons and applying them to real life situations (especially relationships).
In many cases, I actually feel it is easier to start with this book and then graduate to the real course because this one is much more comprehendible.
Making the Decision to Be Free
This is one of my favorite self improvement books by Dr. Wayne Dyer. It´s all about our ego versus our highest self. He teaches us the sneaky ways our ego gets the best of us and how to act from a place of unconditional love instead. I never realized how often I was acting from my ego until I read this book! It is a must read.
The Journey Beyond Yourself
A beautiful self improvement book by Michael Singer that explores who we really are on a soul level. This book completely changed the way I see and interact with myself. It does an amazing job of bringing us into the present moment and explaining how our thoughts, feelings and emotions can be used to experience life to the fullest. It really gets you thinking.
The Art of Affirming Yourself to Greatness
And, of course, I couldn't conclude this list without my new book on positive affirmations! Part one teaches you everything you could ever need or want to know to get positive affirmations to actually change your life. Part two has hundred of inspiring affirmations for all the important areas of your life (like finances, health, relationships, confidence, you-name-it). It's a fun, inpiraitonal, and empowering read.
