When you think of hypnosis the image that first comes to your mind might be of people clucking around like a bird or saluting a trashcan on stage…

But in reality, hypnosis (real hypnosis: AKA the kind people use for therapy and self-development) can be an extremely valuable and life-changing tool.

Hypnosis is actually something more familiar to you than you may realize. You go in and out of states of hypnosis every day, through the process of sleep!

1. It’s the easiest way to reprogram your subconscious mind

If you want to change your habits, behavior, or life the best place to start is with your subconscious mind. Your subconscious is where all real change has to occur on the inside before results can start showing up on the outside.

So basically, hypnosis gets straight to the source, which is why it’s so effective for many therapies.

What this means for you is... If you have trauma, you can rewrite your story it so it doesn’t keep affecting you in your adulthood. If you have limiting beliefs, you can kick those to the curb and replace them with more beneficial ones. And if you are in any way being held back by your subconscious, you can break through the barrier and create some real change in your life.

Assuming you pick the right Hypnotherapist, hypnotherapy or hypnosis is very safe. Think of it less like the silly mind control games you see on stage and more like a lovely guided meditation.

The hypnotherapist will soothe you into a nice relaxed state and from there the work, whatever that may be for you, can begin! (And yes, you are awake and conscious of what’s going on the whole time.)
