There's no question that winners meditate. Meditation is part of almost every successful persons daily routine.
Why? For a ton of reasons!
Just a few of them include diminishing stress and anxiety, increasing productivity, benefiting overall health and wellbeing, promoting better quality sleep, connecting with your highest self, and (my personal favorite) raising your vibration.
Meditation is one of the fastest ways to raise your vibration (aka feel better) and when you can do that, you can more easily be the creator of your own reality. This is because meditating puts you in such a good place energetically that you can easily manifest more good feeling things into your life, thanks to the good old law of attraction.
To me, winning at life means feeling really good and having fun with your creative power. All of these guided meditations help me with one or both of these objectives in some form.
Guided meditations are great for people who are just learning how to meditate, as well as people (like me) who have trouble focusing. The nice thing about them is that they are great for noobs and novelists alike! Anyone and everyone can benefit from using them.
(If you're totally new at the whole meditating thing, I suggest starting here and then coming back to this article.)
Here are some of my favorite guided meditations from the web. Most of them can be found on Youtube, but there is one from Spotify.
This guided meditation by Gabrielle Bernstein is my favorite for owing my power and visualizing my light. I sit, breathe, and visualize my light expanding outward. I love using this one in the morning or afternoon for recharging. It makes me feel like a goddess of light and then I can carry that light with me throughout the day for all to enjoy (weather they realize it or not)!
This super simple guided meditation by Donna D'Cruz is my favorite for letting shit go. It helps me to release all my daily troubles, big and small. I breathe in "let" and exhale "go" until I've successfully let go of all (or at least some) of my baggage that no longer serves me. Feels great and quickly raises my vibration as I release resistence, which supercharges my manifesting abilities!
This liberating guided meditation by Deepak Chopra is one of my favorites for ditching anxiety and adopting a carefree, trusting the universe mentality. First, he reminds us to live our lives from a place of true joy to connect to our truest self and then goes into a lovely 10 minute guided meditation with a Sanskirt mantra. Just his voice alone makes me feel enlightened! Hah! But in all seriousness, the mantra helps me focus so this is a good one for the easily distracted.
This breath-based meditation with Teal Swan is one of my favorites because it's fun and I get to move my body. Rather than sitting all stoic like some Buddhist statue, she guides us to naturally sway back and forth with our breath. Ironically, to an outsider, it probably looks like you're having some sort of panic attack, but it actually feels sooo good! You just have to try it to see what I mean.
The name says it all. This no-nonsense, super short (2 minute), guided meditation is awesome because it keeps it real and keeps me "unfuckwithable". Need I say more?
This meditation is by my favorite spiritual teacher of all time, Abraham Hicks. It’s not so much a guided meditation as it is a list of feel-good positive affirmations that bring you into the present moment and prep you for the best, most relaxing sleep of your life. It really helps me prep myself for some seriously rejuvenating sleep and to wake up the next day on the right side of the bed (if you know what I mean). If you’re one of those people who can’t seem to get a good night sleep because you just lay in bed worrying and stressing about life, this one’s for you.
There you have it! Some of my favorite guided meditations from some awesome spiritual teachers. If you have a good one to share I'd love to hear about it in the comments below. :)
